5 Minute Outfits

Hey all!

So, the other day I slept through my alarm and didn't get up until 8:30 for my 9am class. I freaked out and just put something on. When I was walking to class, I realized that I looked terrible. My shirt was dirty and my pants didn't fit right. That inspired me to create this post about outfits that are comfy, cute and can be created in 5 minutes.

This final outfit is the most comfy outfit by far. Take your favorite hoodie and pair it with some comfy shorts. Finish off the outfit with some casual shoes such as converse, TOMS or your favorite sneakers.

Warm Weather Is Here!

HEY!
It's June and that means that it's almost the official first day of summer! Summer means warm weather, pools, the beach, the lake, cold drinks, cookouts and last but not least...the perfect swimsuit! The perfect swimsuit can be hard to find, that's for sure. Some guides provide suits for your body type, or trendy new patterns and shapes, but the most important part is to find one that fits your unique style and will work with the many activities you plan on enjoying this summer. I have put together a guide based on stereotypical styles that most women fall into some way or another. I have sporty, girly, trendy, vintage, and preppy. Each category has their own types of fits and patterns. A sporty girl who spends a lot of time on the beach or pool playing games is definitely going to want something that they can move around in. For her, she would want something with straps that won't fall down and something that doesn't have too much flair that gets in the way, such as fringe. So take a look and maybe you will find your new favorite or you will find an idea for what kind of suit you want.

Swim suits For Sporty Girls

For you sporty girls, I have suits with thick straps and lots of support on top. For the bottom I have shorts, and low maintenance bikini bottoms. Just because you are sporty doesn't mean you don't like to have pretty things. That's why I included a floral top for those who like girly prints but prefer to be athletic and sporty. Sporty girls have all the fun so enjoy getting down with the guys and still looking cute. ;)

Swim suits for Girly Girls

Okay girlies, we know that you LOVE frills, flowers and lace and sometimes that can be hard to find in a swim suit. Don't worry though, I found some pretty suits that are just as cute as you. I included a floral halter top, a standard bikini top with ruffles and a lacy bandeau. To go with your adorable tops, I have a cheeky floral bottom, a bikini bottom with an attached skirt and a frilly pink bikini bottom. These suits are perfect for lounging around by the pool or beach and they are sure to bring the right kind of attention that a lady expects. :)

Swimsuits for Vintage Girls

Hey you vintage girlies, we all know you LOVE being pretty and extracting the vintage pin up girl look so the best way to do that is of course by donning your high waist bikini bottoms. Black is classic and will slim your midsection, that is why I included it. The colorful ones bring some modernity to the look (and who doesn't like funky prints and colors?) . The tops I had a little fun with and included and plain black bandeau with a bow in the middle, a structured balconette top in pink, a thick green halter (for our busty ladies) and a red halter with some jewel detailing in the middle. Who says you can't be modern with a vintage inspired suit? :P

Suits For Trendy Girls

Hey! For my women who like to stay up with the latest and greatest trends, I have a few suits for you that are perfect for lounging, and taking a little refreshing dip. As far as bottoms go, I found some cute cheeky bottoms with the sides cut out for an extra sexy factor. Also some bright yellow crocheted bottoms are perfect for showing off your perfect tan. For those of you who love patterns, I have some side tie chevron print bottoms that are very low cut but great for working on your tan. To pair with these sexy bottoms, I have a cut out bandeau tops that will no doubt, give you an interesting tan, but who cares? It's cute! Same with the next one, it is a halter top that is cut out in the back and on the shoulders, but.....again, it is absolutely stunning! Last but not least, I have some popular trends for tops including the fringe, and the crop top. If you want to be trendy and different go for the first ones, you will be the envy of all the women :D

Swimsuits for Preppy Girls

Alright ladies, there's a reason I left y'all for last, I have a special place in my heart for the preppy style. It is a classic style that will never go in or out. It is my personal favorite because it mixes girly, sporty and vintage all in one. So whether you are going to be on the boat, the beach or just a pool side barbeque, these suits will do the trick. A bow bandeau with matching pink bottoms is the perfect girly touch for a barbeque. The scalloped bra top and floral bottoms are great for a vacation on the beach. The structured Lilly bandeau top with plain navy bottoms are perfect for hanging out on a boat, and the green bikini top with nautical striped bottoms are great for any occasion where you want to add a nautical flair. Remember preppy girls...no outfit is complete without Lilly by your side. May she rest in peace...

Manic Monday: Poshmark

HEY!

So over the weekend I discovered an AMAZING website....its called Poshmark. You can sell and buy clothing. My favorite part is the community feeling you get on the site. Everyone has their own "closet" and in their "closet" are listings of what is for sale. You have the option to like, comment and share a listing. Most users are willing to negotiate their price. But don't disrespect them and their listing by asking for too little. And don't price your items too high. You want to be fair. Some of the clothing on the site is WONDERFUL! In fact, I made two purchases on there this weekend. I bought a Patagonia fleece jacket and a lovely pair of long chocolate brown authentic UGGS all for a grand total of $40. The boots only had a few knicks in the sole of the shoe and the seller was desperate to get rid of them. The jacket seller was desperate to get rid of it and there was no damage whatsoever. I'll post pictures when I get them!!!!

So, I decided to create some work outfits with stuff that you can on Poshmark. The items shown here are similar to what you can find on the site.

ENJOY :)

Remembering 9/11

HEY!

Today is September 11, 2013. 12 years ago in New York City, a terrible and unspeakable tradegy occurred.....taking hundreds of lives. Today, I say lets remember those we've lost. Show your patriotism. I created 3 sets to show your patriotism and spirit of the US while still looking cute!

Go ahead, show your spirit!

Hump Day Treat

HEY!

Guess what day it is!
Yes, Wednesday! And I have some lovely outfits for your Wednesday.
As I was preparing for this post, I decided that some of you probably don't dress up or are slowly transforming to more comfortable clothing as the weather gets colder. Whatever the reason, I have three casual outfits for you to admire, and to try.

The first one includes a hoodie and boyfriend jeans. Cute it up with pretty flats or loafers.
The second one includes a knitted cardigan with skinny jeans. Pair that with cowboy boots and your comfy outfit suddenly looks a lot cooler.
The last one includes pink flats and shorts. Pair the shorts with a printed long sleeve top for coverage in the changing weather.

Game Day Saturday!

HEY!

It's friday which means that we are only a day away from my favorite day of the week in the fall, GAMEDAY!
I have came up with three game day outfits for three teams. One is from the ACC (because Clemson is my team!) and two from the SEC, because I live in Georgia and that should be represented in this post. I really don't like LSU but it's a powerhouse, so why not represent it?

I love college football and will won't make plans on game day unless it includes watching the game....Do you like football? If so, who's your team?

Wearing White Pants in Fall

HEY!

Sorry for not posting in awhile!! I've been busy with classes and my new workouts also not to mention my job and a girls gotta socialize right?
Anyway, today I have for you a way to continue wearing your lovely white pants in the fall without looking like you are still stuck in summer.
The first set features the all so versatile chambray shirt with edgy boots. You can keep it classy with a structured watch and a crossbody.
The second set has a more laid back vibe and includes the plaid button down ,which is a fall must have, paired with low cut flat sneakers.
The last set is work appropriate and includes a deep blue blazer because jewel jones are this fall's must wear colors. It is also spiced up with an animal printed top peeking out and nude flats.

Thirsty Thursday: Summer to Fall

HEY!

This is a special post. It is about transforming your summer clothes to make them work for the fall.
Most of us love to shop, unfortunately we may sometimes be on a budget and will need to find ways for our summer clothes to work for the fall. This post is about using your old summer crop top in the fall when going out.

1. Pair your flowing crop top with a bodycon skirt and chunky sandals. Add a colorful clutch and some arm candy

2. Take your plain tee crop top and add some high waist trousers in a hot fall color such as oxblood, or a deep emerald. Finish off with sky high pumps and a nude bag.

3. Your denim crop top is the most versatile, you can pair it with anything in the previous lists but if you are going for a edgy but not over the top look, pair it with a maxi skirt in a hot fall color and cut out boots. You can complete the outfit with long earrings and a bag with some hardware. (Bonus if the two metals are the same color!)

Below are some examples of each type of outfit:

US FLAG PRIDE

HEY!

This weekend posts are all going to be Independence Day related.

I know, it is hard to find outfits that celebrate the US. Typical red, white and blue color combos are over used and flag patterns can look tacky if worn incorrectly.

I have a set with some examples of cute flag patterns that are not tacky.

Also I have included a set that features the items from the list in a suitable 4th of July outfit.

Enjoy.

Cold Rainy Day

HEY!

Today's feature friday is cool rainy days. If your weekend weather calls for cool temps and rain, like Juneau, Alaska, then here you go!

Cold Rainy Day

wedding guest.

HEY!

So I've been hearing about and seeing a lot of weddings this season. So why not talk about what to wear as a guest to a wedding.

Whether it's a good friend, your best friend (although I'd hope you'd be a bridesmaid for her), or a relative, it's important to dress for the occasion.

I have created two sets of different outfits.

The first one is perfect for an outdoor wedding.

Wedges are perfect for outdoor weddings because you don't have any heels that will dig into the ground and get ruined.

I included a wristlet because who needs a big bad when going to a wedding? Weddings are like prom, all you need is a compact mirror, and a few bobby pins, and some money and your phone.

The second set is for an indoor wedding. Indoors typically are more formal and religious. Usually but not always, either way, you should look more formal.

I included a blazer because blazers are awesome and make any outfit look a little more mature.

As always, if you have any questions, email me at yourclothingsucks@outlook.com

I have a new Pinterest page follow me at pinterest.com/clothingsucks

Also at Polyvore: Polyvore.com/yourclothingsucks

P.S. The winner from my contest that guessed which outfit cost less is Leslie Martin. She will create a set that showcases a few of her favorite things.
